Blackbutt     Eucalyptus Pilulari

Blackbutt, a large hardwood, is highly admired for its high quality of timber which is ideal for stain finishes. A pale brown, the grain is generally straight which makes this timber a favourite for interior use. This species is native to the East of the country through Victoria and New South Wales and serves as forage for koalas. It is one of the giants in the Eucalyptus family capable of growing over 150 feet tall with trunks of 12 feet in diameter.

Jarrah is a durable timber with a Janka rating of 9 which makes it suitable for all furniture, joinery projects and flooring.
